The World’s 50 Best Restaurants 2025 award ceremony, sponsored by S. Pellegrino & Acqua Panna, took place on June 19, 2025 in Turin, Piedmont, Italy. In the event where the world of gastronomy met, this year’s first place went to Maido, the founder and chef of Mitsuharu Tsumura, which welcomes its guests with Nikkei cuisine in Lima, the capital of Peru.

Following past editions in New York, Melbourne, the Basque Country, Singapore, Antwerp, London, Valencia, and Las Vegas, this year’s prestigious ceremony was held in the northern Italian city of Turin. Known for its cuisine, wine, culture, and architecture, Turin is also home to many establishments aligned with the slow food philosophy.

Before the main event, the extended ranking of places 51–100 was announced. Representing Turkey, Neolokal—led by Chef Maksut Aşkar—secured a spot on the list as the country’s sole entry.

The title of The World’s Best Restaurant 2025 and Best Restaurant in South America 2025 went to Maido in Lima, Peru.
