The entrepreneurial spirit of culinary art; the successful chef of Mayta, Jaime Pesaque will take place on November 4-5, 2023 at the International Gastromasa Gastronomy Conference.

The 8th Edition of the International Gastromasa Gastronomy Conference which continues to serve as a bridge between Turkey and world gastronomy and is in the first two places among world gastronomy events, will be held on November 4-5, 2023 at the Haliç Congress Center in Istanbul. The theme of the conference will be “Geography”. Gastromasa Hospitality, Gastromasa Coffee, Gastromasa Bar and Gastromasa Pastry concepts, which will take place within our Gastromasa Conference, will bring together world-renowned gastronomy professionals who shape the sector under the same roof. 60+ world-renowned chefs and pastry chefs, 30+ baristas, sommeliers and mixologists, 200+ professional speakers, the most important investors of the tourism and hospitality sector, famous chefs, gastronomy professionals, general managers, F&B managers, purchasing managers and many others will have the opportunity to take part at the 8th Edition of the International Gastromasa Gastronomy Conference.

About Jaime Pesaque

Born and raised in Peru, trained in Europe and apprenticed in Michelin-starred restaurants in Italy and Spain, including El Celler de Can Roca.
Back in Peru, he perfected his own style at Al Grano, where he directed his first kitchen. In 2008, with an entrepreneurial spirit and culinary art, Pesaque decided to open its flagship restaurant, Mayta, a contemporary Peruvian cuisine restaurant and pisco bar in Lima, Peru, where the traceability of native products is always sought and combined with contemporary culinary techniques and local products to create sophisticated and modern dishes. Pesaque also manages to export Peruvian cuisine abroad to countries such as the United States, Italy and the Netherlands. In 2019, Mayta enters the list of Latin America’s 50 Best Restaurants, and in 2020 won the Highest Climber Award. In 2022 Mayta enters the list of The World’s 50 Best and in 2023, was once again elected as one of the 50 best restaurants in the world. It was also awarded as the best restaurant in the world in the latest edition of The World Culinary Awards.
Pesaque decided to open different restaurants in Lima: 500 Grados, Sapiens and Mad Burger, also export Peruvian cuisine abroad to countries such as the United States, Italy and the Netherlands.
Throughout his career, Jaime has represented Peru in different events as an exhibitor and international chef.
