It’s been nearly four years since Jamie Oliver’s restaurants went into administration in the UK. Since then, he’s had pasta pop-ups and opened restaurants abroad but nothing new in the UK – until now.

The Times reports that he’s getting ready to open a new chain of restaurants (as yet un-named), starting with one in Drury Lane, next to the Theatre Royal, and the final part of that theatre’s makeover. Apparently, it will be more expensive than the Jamie’s Italian restaurant group, serving “a seasonal menu that champions the best of British produce”. Hospitality newsletter Propel suggests that the name may be “Clover Yard”.

That really doesn’t give us much to work on (we see “seasonal menu with British produce” used a lot when describing restaurants) so we’re going to have to wait for an official announcement, which should be imminent. But as soon as we know more, we’ll update you here.
