One of Bodrum’s most sought-after destinations, Maçakızı Bodrum, hosted the fourth gathering of the Signature Dining Experience series. The menu, jointly prepared by three prominent chefs from the international gastronomy scene, offered an unforgettable evening for food enthusiasts.
As part of the Gault&Millau Türkiye Tour, Maçakızı once again brought together gastronomy lovers. Following previous stops at Teruar Urla, Karma Bodrum, and OD Urla, the fourth event featured Maçakızı Bodrum’s Executive Chef and Ayla by Aret Sahakyan Co-Founder & Chef Aret Sahakyan, world-renowned pastry chef and founder of Bachour, Antonio Bachour, and founder of La Vie & Taste By Thomas Bühner, Chef Thomas Bühner, who came together to create an extraordinary menu.
The evening began with Signature Cocktails specially crafted with Malfy Gin and Codigo Tequila; the refreshing aromas and creative presentations invited guests to embark on the night’s gastronomic journey. During dinner, the chefs presented signature dishes that reflected their unique culinary styles. Each course was paired with carefully selected wines, creating an unforgettable dining experience.
Thomas Bühner opened with a sophisticated potato foam paired with pumpkin curry ice cream; this creative dish found the perfect harmony with the aromatic notes of 7Bilgeler Bornova Misket.
Aret Sahakyan served a rice dish enriched with spices, sea urchin, and coffee aromas, offering an unusual depth of flavor. Bühner’s second dish, lobster poached in vanilla butter sauce, was enhanced by the balanced heat of Urfa pepper; paired with Prodom Viognier, whose silky texture and floral notes perfectly complemented the plate.
Sahakyan’s dry-aged sea bass with lemon geranium sauce and saffron brought Mediterranean breezes to the table, followed by lamb saddle with morel mushrooms and a rich lamb jus. The robust character of 7Bilgeler Old Vine Karasakız elevated the depth of the lamb dish.
For dessert, Antonio Bachour first offered a refreshing combination of mountain berries and cream to provide a light transition, followed by a pistachio dessert with multiple textures, paired with yogurt. This captivating finale was matched with Prodom Late Harvest Bornova Misket, whose sweet aromas brought the evening’s flavor journey to a flawless close.
The Gault&Millau Türkiye Tour “Signature Dining Experience” series continues to bring together Turkey’s leading gastronomic destinations with internationally acclaimed chefs, adding a new dimension to culinary culture with each event.
Organized by Gault&Millau Türkiye’s official representative Sözen Organization, we would like to thank our host Maçakızı Bodrum and our beverage partners 7Bilgeler, Pernod Ricard Türkiye, and Prodom for their valuable contributions.
