
Paco Torreblanca, who combines traditional pastry making with a modern approach, will be on stage at the Haliç Congress Center on November 6–7.
WHO IS PACO TORREBLANCA?
Francisco ‘Paco’ Torreblanca García was born on February 5, 1951, in Villena (Alicante), Spain. A world-renowned Master Pastry Chef, Torreblanca began his pastry career in 1963 in Paris, working alongside Jean Millet. In 1978, he founded his own brand, Pastelerías Torreblanca.
He gained international fame in 2004 for the cakes and desserts he prepared for the Spanish Royal Wedding. Since 2013, he has been running the Escuela Torreblanca pastry school with his son.
Selected as Spain’s and Europe’s Best Pastry Chef, Torreblanca was named “World’s Best Pastry Chef” by the International Academy of Gastronomy in 2020 and 2022. He holds two honorary doctorates in Food Technology and Fine Arts.
His books “La obra de Paco Torreblanca” and “Paco Torreblanca 2” won the “World’s Best Pastry Book” award. He has spoken at events such as Gastronomika, Madrid Fusión, and Gastromasa. In 2024, he was selected as the Ambassador of the Valencian Community.
Torreblanca is a pioneering figure who combines traditional pastry-making with modern art.
