
Hailing from a fourth generation of pastry chefs and with an international career spanning Paris to London, Singapore to Venice, Andrea Tortora will be among the distinguished guests of Gastromasa 2025, taking place on November 6–7 at the Haliç Congress Center under the theme “Stories of 10 Years.”
Throughout his career, Tortora has crossed paths with some of the most renowned figures in gastronomy, including Giovanni Ciresa, Antonio Guida, Christian Le Squer, Michel Roux, Gualtiero Marchesi, Fabio Cucchelli, and most notably, Norbert Niederkofler, with whom he worked for many years. Over time, Tortora has developed his own unique style in pastry, combining simplicity, elegance, and contemporary touches. His creations aim to transform dessert from being merely the final course into a complete experience in themselves. In his signature works, delicate aromas, refined aesthetics, and deep respect for the product stand out.
Who is Andrea Tortora?
Son of pastry chefs in the fourth generation and with a strong inter-national curriculum behind him – from Paris to London, from Singapore to Venice – Andrea Tortora was for years at the helm of the pastry shop of the St. Hubertus restaurant, achieving his third Michelin star as pastry chef in 2018. At only 30 years of age, he was recognised as Maestro Ampi by joining the Accademia Maestri Pasticceri Italiani (Italian Master Pastry Chefs Academy).
The Il Gambero Rosso and Identità Golose guides named him Chef Pastry Chef of the Year 2017, while the Espresso Guide awarded him the title of Pastry Chef of the Year in 2018.In his career he has worked with great chefs such as Giovanni Ciresa, Antonio Guida, Christian Le Squer, Michel Roux, Gualtiero Marchesi, Fabio Cucchelli and Norbert Niederkofler. The years spent at the latter’s side were decisive for Andrea, although the memory of his first Maestro, Maurilio Giacomelli, remains indelible and fundamental.
With the AT Pâtissier project he launched in 2017, he offers unique products that reflect his passion for contemporary, elegant, and simple flavors. The AT Pâtissier panettone series has achieved great success, proving the quality and innovation Tortora has brought to the world of pastry.
