After six years of dazzling guests with sophisticated European and California-inspired dishes, Lord Stanley will close its doors next month. The restaurant, which will be closed permanently, will function as a pop-up to welcome international and aspiring chefs. Lord Stanley will continue to serve until his last day of service, September 4. The new restaurant, Turntable at Lord Stanley, will launch on September 7 with a quarterly visit from chefs from Argentina.

“If we all learned anything last year, it’s that evolving is important and changing your business model is important,” said Carrie Blease, who owns Lord Stanley with her husband, Rupert. The owners of the restaurant Rupert and Carrie Blease started thinking about transforming their 6-year-old modern European restaurant a few months before the pandemic. They loved traveling for pop-ups and working with different people in new kitchens, and after constantly wondering if it would be possible to provide this opportunity to others, they brought their new idea to life.
