In UK, with almost 300.000 people unemployed in hospitality sector, at least 3.200 of those who lost their lives due to COVID-19 are reported to be hospitality workers. From April to October 2020, UK hospitality sales lost approximately £53 billion.

Following the petition carried out by sector employees who demanded a Minister of Hospitality to be appointed, it is now confirmed that the subject will be debated in the parliament on January 11, 2021.
