The Michelin Guide awarded Ana Roš, chef of Hiša Franko which ranked 38th on the World’s 50 Best Restaurants list, with 2nd Michelin star in the new destination, Slovenia.

Ana Roš, who ranked consecutive in the list of the World’s 50 Best Restaurants and was named the World’s Best Female Chef by the World’s 50 Best Restaurants in 2017, added another to her achievements. Ana Roš who made Hiša Franko which is located in Kobarid, Slovenia, one of the best restaurants in the world and Slovenia, with her husband Valter Kramar, the only 2 Michelin-starred restaurant in the region by taking second Michelin star.

Michelin Guide is happy to celebrate a brand new destination for its first launch event since the beginning of its pandemic. Slovenia, nicknamed “Green Heart of Europe,” is on the Michelin Guide list with its successful restaurants. A total of 52 restaurants reflecting Slovenia’s gastronomic culture, including the only 2 Michelin-starred restaurants, Hiša Franko, and 5 single Michelin-starred restaurants, were selected for the 2020 list.
