At the 21st World Gourmet Awards held in Singapore this year, 36 F&B businesses, chefs, sommeliers and restaurant managers were honored for their outstanding contributions to the industry.

The ceremony, which was celebrated with great enthusiasm before Covid-19, was held online in 2020 due to the pandemic. This year, a small-scale celebration has been prepared where the award winners can both come to the ceremony and participate online.

The biggest winner of this year was the Ritz-Carlton, Singapore, which collected four awards at once. Cheung Siu Kong from the Summer Pavilion became the Chef of the Year in Asian Cuisine, while Benton Toh won the Chef Mentor of the Year and Massimo Pasquarelli won the Executive Chef of the Year award. Ritz Carlton Catering was named Food Delivery Company of the Year.

Another winner of the year was The Spot, which won three awards. From the restaurant located at 5 Strait View, Lee Bon Seng received the Innovative Chef of the Year, Leong Wei Ming Young Chef of the Year, and Remz Ocampo the Mixologist of the Year.
