The World’s 50 Best Restaurants announced that the winner of the American Express One to Watch Award 2021 is London’s Ikoyi, co-founded by childhood friends Jeremy Chan and Iré Hassan-Odukale. Ikoyi in London receives great acclaim by interpreting West African cuisine with a creative approach.

Founded in 2017 by chefs Jeremy Chan and Iré Hassan-Odukale, Ikoyi offers an original experiences where the cultures of two chefs meet. Chinese-Canadian chef Chan creates an internationalist cuisine with a futuristic sensibility that transcends cultural boundaries and nationalist distinctions. Jeremy Chan said, “We are extremely humbled by the recognition on the global stage and proud of our small, hard-working team. We are also grateful to our producers, without whom this success would not be possible,” and shares his success with his team.
