Receiving a Sommelier Award with the Michelin Guide Great Britain and Ireland 2021 selection, Karine Canevet said the award came as a surprise to her and her husband Pascal Canevet, the chef patron of Maison Bleue, in her talk with Big Hospitality.

Like others, the couple have been offering their services as take-out menus and said they sold almost 200 meals a day. “We will be busy when we’re allowed to re-open our doors. We’ve been fully booked following the two previous lockdowns. People are looking forward to going back to a more normal life and meeting their friends and they’re also fed up of cooking at home. I don’t mind waiting if we can open again safely” said Karine Canevet.
