Michelin, the world’s oldest and most well-known restaurant guide, recently announced that it will begin to break tradition by announcing some of its New York selections throughout the year rather than annually. Le Trois Chevaux, Takeda, Torien, 63 Clinton, Yellow Rose and Le Fanfare have been added to the guide.
While Michelin states that only restaurants are included in the annual guide, it adds that “some specialty restaurants” may receive a Bib or star in the future. Gwendal Poullennec, international director of Michelin Guides, announced the changes in a press release: “As the restaurant industry continues to face unprecedented challenges and uncertainties, we hope that these regular announcements and selection updates throughout the year will provide opportunities to highlight them. We invite you to discover and support.”
