W Rome, the brand’s first branch in Italy, opened with a grand ceremony on 6 December. The dining options are prepared by Michelin-starred chef Ciccio Sultano and pastry chef Fabrizio Fiorani and include everything from fine dining to street food.

Encompassing a 9th-century palazzo, the 162-room hotel is located on Via Liguria, next to the Spanish Steps. Guestrooms and suites feature open-plan living spaces, floor-to-ceiling windows and marble bathrooms, and some have private balconies and terraces. Designed by Meyer Davis, the décor features an eclectic mix of colorful leather furniture, a hand-painted mural, and black-and-gray marble. Highlights include the Parlapiano, a secret garden inspired by one of Borromini’s churches, featuring traditional Italian stones complete with greenery, topiary, and water fountains.
