According to an announcement made on Sunday, Godiva Chocolatier has decided to close of sell all of their stores and cafes in North America. Stating that the Middle East, Europe and Chine locations will remain open, Godiva will close their stores due to a shift in their consumer behavior and an increase in online sales resulting in less customers for the stores during the pandemic.

“Of course, this decision was difficult because of the care we have for our dedicated and hard-working chocolatiers who will be impacted. We have always been focused on what our consumers need and how they want to experience our brand, which is why we have made this decision” said CEO of Godiva, Nurtaç Afridi.
