The treasure trove from Florence’s historic and award-winning three-Michelin-starred restaurant Enoteca Pinchiorri led with passion by Giorgio Pinchiorri and Annie Féolde, was put under the hammer by the leading American wine auction house Zachys, making its debut in Europe.

Auctioning off the most valuable bottles from a collection that combines more than 50 years of meticulous and passionate research, Pinchiorri generated $ 2 million income. Among the 864 lots with legendary labels and memorable bottles, the highest worth was obtained from three bottles of 1985 Vosne Romanee Cros Parantoux Henri Jayer, which sold to a mysterious wine enthusiast for $ 98,561, and two magnums of Vosne Romanee Cros Parantoux Reserve Henri Jayer 1999 sold for $ 79,484.
