Chophouse brand Blacklock will open its fourth and largest restaurant on February 7 in London’s Covent Garden. The new restaurant will open on Bedford Street in a 110-seat building that once housed King’s Coachmakers. The venue will join Blacklock’s flagship on Soho’s Great Windmill Street, which opened in 2015, and its restaurants in the City and Shoreditch, which opened in 2017 and 2018, respectively.

The group said it has begun the application process for a company’s B Corp certification, which accredits a company’s commitment to purpose rather than profit. In an initiative launched during the lockdown that has planted more than 125,000 trees so far, the group is currently planting a tree for every customer, and every cocktail sold is donated to charity End Youth Homeless. Gordon Ker, owner of Blacklock, said: “It’s been a tough two years for everyone and so it’s been more than three years since we last opened a Blacklock, and we’re excited to look forward, grow again and open our fourth restaurant in the heart of Covent. we’re foaming up.”
