World-renowned chef Alain Ducasse announced that he will open the Le Grand Contrôle restaurant, located in the gardens of Versailles. Making a statement on his social media account, the French chef announced that the restaurant will be managed by him.

Alain Ducasse said: “With uninterrupted views onto the Orangery parterre, the restaurant will serve a selection of reimagined French classics during the day along with a dedicated Marie Antoinette afternoon tea. Dinner will be a more theatrical affair, reminiscent of the King’s decadent royal banquets, with the restaurant team in period costume. The service of soups and appetizers will be followed by rôts (roasted pieces) and salads, then entremets, and finally the fruit (the dessert). At each course, a new procession of officers of Bouche will come to offer the dishes in gold, silver or vermeil, such a well-orchestrated ballet to live a parenthesis of exception. We look forward to welcoming you.”
