The World’s 50 Best Restaurants announced a new initiative, “50 Best for Recovery,” and said they would be active with different relief operations to support the world of restaurants through this challenging crisis under the sponsorship of S. Pellegrino and Acqua Panna. It will financially support restaurants through auction and charity funding and will also be a source of motivation with the Recovery Gub and virtual summit for the industry in this challenging process.

“With each person we speak to, our resolve grows: in times of crisis, we need to use the strength of our network to help others,” The 50 Best which runs The World’s 50 Best Restaurants, Latin America’s 50 Best Restaurants and Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants said in a statement on their website. The World’s 50 Best Restaurant revealed its recovery plans sponsored by S. Pellegrino and Acqua Panna to support restaurants during the crisis. The organization said their goal is to provide a solid financial relief but also stated that this assistance was necessary for restaurants to continue to operate after the pandemic. The 50 Best will support nonprofit organizations that support restaurants in different parts of the world with the help of its sponsor partners; S. Pellegrino and Acqua Panda. Also, the “Rescue Auction,” which will take place in June, will bring food lovers together with their favourite restaurants on the current list. The World’s 50 Best Restaurants will be introducing a book “Home Comforts: simple lockdown recipes from the world’s best chefs and bartenders” as an e-book with readers in return for a small donation. Together with financial support, the Recovery Center will share inspiring stories and information about the industry with restaurants and bars, and the organization aims to be a source of motivation for chefs and bartenders in this process. The World’s 50 Best Restaurants, which will focus on how the restaurant world will develop and recover with the virtual Recovery Summit that they plan to hold in September 2020, postponed their list to be announced in June 2020 and indicated they would not announce any lists this year.
