Turnips, the famous fruit and vegetable trader of Borough Market which is Britain’s oldest market, and Michelin-starred chef Tomas Lidakevicius are coming together for a whole new collaboration.

The famous trader Turnips, who has been selling fruit and vegetables for more than 30 years in the historic Borough Market, is opening a new restaurant with Tomas Lidakevicius, the former Executive Chef of the Michelin starred City Social restaurant. Vegetable-focused menus prepared with Turnips’ freshest products will be prepared in a kitchen converted from the container. The new restaurant, which will open on Thursday, will serve small plates and delicious cocktails, while the celebrity chef will offer unique flavours to its customers with a 5-meal tasting menu. “The juxtaposition between fine dining and buzzy market atmosphere is second to none and we’re so excited to be working with Tomas,” says Charlie Foster, the owner of Turnips, reported Standard UK.
