After the Russia-Ukraine war, McDonald’s restaurants, which decided to end their service in Russia, will be purchased by Russian operator Alex Govor. Govor, who operates 25 McDonald’s restaurants in Siberia, will buy all the restaurants of the chain and operate them under another brand name.

McDonald’s, which started to serve in Russia in 1990, was seen as a symbol of the end of the Cold War in those years. The deal is expected to take place in a few weeks.
