One of the most important names of Brazilian gastronomy is undoubtedly Alex Atala. Since the beginning of his career, Atala has attracted the attention of food lovers with his work with the flavors, products and colors of Brazil. These works brought him many national and international awards. The world-famous chef, who won two Michelin stars with his main restaurant D.O.M, which he established in 1999, found a place in the list of the World’s 100 Most Influential People prepared by Time magazine in 2013. The chef, who was awarded the Lifetime Achievement award by the South American edition of Time magazine in 2014, has made D.O.M one of the most exclusive restaurants in Brazil.
Atala designed the ATÁ Institute in 2013, whose core mission is to bring knowledge closer to eating, eating closer to cooking, cooking closer to farming and farming closer to the environment. Consisting of a multidisciplinary team of photographers, businessmen, advertisers, an anthropologist and a journalist, the ATÁ Institute presents Chief Atala’s ideals as a practical response with its annual FRU.TO seminar.
The world-famous chef is the partner of two restaurants, Dalva e Dito and Bio – Comer Saudável, as well as D.O.M.
Sözen Group CEO Gökmen Sözen met with the famous chef Atala at his restaurant D.O.M in Sao Paolo. Having a pleasant evening with Atala in his restaurant, Sözen said, “It was a wonderful dinner.
