Michelin-starred chef Vikas Khanna, who successfully distributed four million dry rations in 79 cities across India amid the coronavirus crisis, has called for solidarity and unity among the public to defeat the outbreak.

Michelin-starred chef Vikas Khanna, who lives in New York, has provided support to 79 cities across India by creating a chain that distributes dry rations to elderly homes, orphanages and leprosy centres. In less than 1 month, by delivering 4 million dry rations to 3,100 points, helping people in need. In a statement, Chief Khanna said: “My hope is solidarity. Solidarity is everything. We can beat corona and we should all be united to figure out how to defeat this virus. I’m not doing any favour. I’m giving back to my country. Apart from the kitchen, a chef has a huge responsibility and this gave an opportunity to me to fulfil my responsibility.”
