The Michelin Guide has developed a tool that records the number of open Michelin-starred restaurants. Starting from the 10th week of the year, the chart shows the weekly percentage of the restaurants that are open by region according to certain criteria and as the end of the first month of the year approaches, only 26% of Michelin-starred restaurants are open.


The number of open Michelin-starred restaurants in Europe dropped by 40%, because of the newly introduced restrictions of the countries, the highest since May 2020. The situation in Asia and America remain the same.
