After the most expensive milkshakes, sandwiches, and desserts in the world, Serendipity3 restaurant in New York broke another record: The most expensive french fries entered the Guinness Book of Records. French fries made with champagne, truffle, and 23-carat gold dust cost $200.

French fries, which are loved by adults and children and almost always used as a side dish, were served as the main course this time. Serendipity3 has decided to launch Crème de la Crème Pomme Frites to mark the 13th of July, National Fries Day.

Upstate Chipper Beck potatoes are blanched in a mixture of Dom Perignon champagne and J.LeBlanc French champagne vinegar before being cooked three times in pure goose fat from France. After frying, they are seasoned with truffle powder and truffle oil and made ready for service.
