Michelin-starred Dutch chef Joris Bijdendijk and Zoku, which has taken a new approach to the hotel industry, are joining together to launch the “Better Together” project. They turn Zoku’s 25 lofts into private restaurants where couples can enjoy meals prepared by Bijdendijk and the successful team of Rijk’s.

Joris Bijdendijk, the Executive Chef of the Michelin-starred Rijks restaurant in the Rijksmuseum museum, has stepped into a new project by creatively evaluating the quarantine period. The successful chef, who collaborates with Zoku, who brings a different perspective to the hospitality industry with its office and home hybrid styles, will give their guests a very special experience with the “Better Together” project. On May 29, for less than 200 euros per person all-inclusive, 25 couples will be able to enjoy a four-course dinner, along with wines selected by Max Van Bockel, the successful sommelier at the Rijksmuseum. After a unique experience with chef Bijdendijk’s special touches during the meal, guests will end their night on the rooftop terrace where they can stay. “This crisis has given us a lot of creativity and energy,” the celebrity chef said. ” It is fantastic to see what has emerged in these times and that our guests still want to enjoy good food, drinks and a getaway in their own country. We are very happy to give a Zoku x Rijks experience in this manner,” he said. According to the Food and Wine Gazette, 3 of the lofts will offer free service to health workers with ‘Lieve Amsterdammers’ project. Hans Meyer, one of the co-founders of Zoku stated “Our better together-proposition is really showing its value in these trying times. We are community-driven, so not only have we initiated projects for first responders (opening the hotel free of charge for health care workers), we also kept looking for local partners to collaborate with, to add value to their business, the city and our guests. What better way to kick off this series than with one of Amsterdam’s best chefs?”
