Michelin Guide inspectors have added four new restaurants from Washington D.C to its website. These restaurants, which have not yet received a star, draw attention with the diversity they offer on world cuisine and vegetarian nutrition.

The fact that these restaurants, which are not yet starred or Bib Gourmand, are considered remarkable by the Guide makes them stand out among new restaurants in the city. Here are those restaurants,

  • Carribbean cuisine restaurant Bammy’s in Navy Yard
  • Dauphine’s, a downtown New Orleans cuisine restaurant
  • Chef Kevin Tien’s Vietnamese restaurant Moon Rabbit
  • Oyster Oyster, which promotes a vegetarian diet

Michelin keeps track of new restaurants that attract attention throughout the year. Stating that this approach is of great importance for the revival of the industry, Michelin Guide International Director Gwendal Poullennec said, “As the restaurant industry continues to face unprecedented challenges and uncertainties, we hope that these regular revelations and updates to the selection throughout the year will provide opportunities to highlight the profession and invite everyone to discover and support the restaurants around them.” The Michelin Guide will announce newly starred and Bib Gourmand restaurants in the city next spring.
