The San Francisco-based nonprofit organization La Cocina continues to support women as the pandemic progresses.

La Cocina, a San Francisco-based nonprofit that helps low-income women open and grow restaurant businesses, has taken action quite quickly in the fight against coronavirus. The organization helps 60 businesses and 33 locations to get through this process easily by informing them about rent reduction and employee assistance. The team also created an emergency relief fund to help provide cash. Through the fund, La Cocina is also actively seeking donations to continue providing financial assistance to each of its businesses, for which it has given $ 4,000. Moreover, by selling food boxes called Community Food Boxes, which contain 1 week of food, they give the revenue to the participating chefs.
