The Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce began distributing loans ranging from $500 to $30,000 for small businesses that could not receive support from America’s Paycheck Protection Program (PPP), which supports small businesses.

Many restaurateurs reacted to PPP supports that were gotten by big chains but actually were prepared for small business by the USA government. The Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce took action on the issue, setting up a support fund for small businesses. Independent restaurants, cafes, bars and other small businesses will be able to pay interest-free loans of between $500 and $30,000 in a flexible time frame. In addition, 65% of the loans went to businesses owned by women and minority groups. The Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce has raised around $130,000 so far through Fundrazr for the Bring Back Brooklyn Fund, noting that their goal is as much as half a million dollars.
