Asia’s 50 Best Bars list announced

The Asia’s 50 Best Bars awards were announced at a ceremony held in Bangkok Mandarin Oriental last night. At the ceremony, which was held together with the participants for the first time since 2019 due to Covid, the Mexican bar Coa in Hong Kong was once again chosen as the best bar in Asia.


Singapore’s bars made their mark on Asia’s 50 Best Bars list. Singapore bars took place in eleven of the top fifty lines, followed by Hong Kong, represented by eight bars. Japan, Thailand, South Korea and India entered the list with five bars, while China was represented with four bars, while Taiwan and Malaysia were represented with two bars each. Smoke & Bitters, ranked 42nd on the list, broke new ground and entered the list representing Sri Lanka.


Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2022 list was created by a 220-member jury of the region’s drink writers, educators, journalists, bartenders, bar owners and regional cocktail enthusiasts.
