Michelin Guide Italy announced its 66th guide with an event live-streamed from Milan.

The 2021 Michelin Guide Italy, live-streamed from Milan, also introduced the ‘Michelin green clover’, introduced in France and Scandinavian countries in 2020, which rewards the sustainability of restaurants and attention to the environment, regardless of the stars. However, the 2021 Michelin Guide Italy includes more than 2000 restaurants and 252 Bib Gourmands that 11 of which are new entries. Unfortunately, 20 restaurants lost stars but a total of 26 new Michelin stars were added to the new edition, with 23 restaurants receiving their first star.

The guide to Italy, which included 374 restaurants last year, includes 371 restaurants this year. There are 11 three Michelin-starred restaurants, 37 two-Michelin-starred restaurants, 3 of which are new, and 323 one-star restaurants, 23 of which are new.
