Reale Seguros Madrid Fusión 2019 congress held on 28-29-30 of January. FoodinLife Magazine Executive Editor Gökmen Sözen followed the event live in Madrid.

More than 2,000 delegates and 13,000 visitors have attended the 2019 edition of the leading gastronomic congress, Reale Seguros Madrid Fusión. With workshops, contests, auctions, tastings, 122 speakers and 200 exhibiting companies, the most successful edition of this haute cuisine culinary summit has now closed.

With the record number of 2,090 accredited delegates, which represents an increase of 10% over the previous year, the congress continues its upward trend. This increase is also mirrored in both the number of visitors, at 13,122, and of accredited journalists, at 843. The exhibiting companies continue to trust in #REALEMF as the best showcase for their products and the number of 200 exhibitors has been maintained, which is the maximum possible within the exhibition area of the Palacio de Congresos. The Madrid gastronomic summit has also generated considerable interest online, with 318,840 page views during the first three days.

With these very positive results, the seventeenth #REALEMF19 has been brought to a close. Another internationally renowned figure, Josep Roca (El Celler de Can Roca), has been responsible for providing a special end to the event: a dialogue between the wine of Jerez (sherry) and flamenco. Josep Roca and guitarist Diego del Morao have added the final touch to a congress that will return with more new developments and exciting proposals in 2020.
