UK Minister of Finance Rishi Sunak has confirmed the furlough scheme will be extended until the end of March 2021.

Good news came to employers from England, which entered the second quarantine process with the start of the pandemic. UK Minister of Finance Rishi Sunak confirmed that the government’s furlough scheme, which pays up to %80 of wages where employees are unable to work, up to £2,500 a month, would continue until the end of March 2021. Within the scheme, employers will have to cover the cost of National Insurance and pension contributions. Sunak said the measures will be reviewed in January “to decide whether economic circumstances are improving enough to ask employers to contribute more.”
