The ‘Food Meets Talent’ panel, held at The World’s 50 Best Restaurants event in Antwerp, Belgium, brought together the star names of the gastronomy world. Heston Blumenthal, Clare Smyth and Ana Roš also attended the talks where the chefs presented their work, culinary philosophies and new ideas.

The winner of the S. Pellegrino Young Chef competition, Mark Moriarty, talked about the development of his career journey after winning the first place on the stage in 2015. He talked about the opportunities created by being a part of the project and how many doors it opened for him. Moriarty said, “Six years on, the competition continues to open doors, here I am talking under my chef hero Heston Blumenthal. It has allowed me to accelerate my career and I’m honoured to be part of the family.”

Heston Blumenthal, who participated in the panel, presented his thoughts on quantum gastronomy. The British chef, who is seen at the cutting edge of gastronomy, shared his research on quantum mechanics and philosophy to contribute to his personal development and the development of his cuisine. The video, where Ana Roš, Clare Smyth and Micha Tsumura gave advice to young chefs, gave emotional moments to the audience with its inspiring quality.

The award ceremony of The 50 Best Restaurants will take place tonight with a red carpet parade and an impressive ceremony.
