Col Vetoraz has removed the word Prosecco from the sparkling wines it produces. Only Valdobbiadene DOCG brand remained on the bottle.

In a statement made by the company, it was said that they thought that describing the wine they produced as prosecco belittled and trivialized it.

It is rumored that the brand, which has been producing Prosecco since 2017, made a deliberate maneuver to distance itself from the DOC region. Col Vetoraz continues to highlight its connection to Valdobbiadene DOCG, a region that has grown the Glera grape for nearly 800 years.
