Restaurants in Los Angeles can officially open for limited indoor dining on Monday. Los Angeles restaurants started to host their customers indoors with limited capacity. After the state of California moved from the most restrictive ‘purple tier’ to the lower ‘red tier’, The County of Los Angeles Department of Public Health made a new decision. Many restrictions will still apply to restaurants that will be serving indoors for the first time since July.

“Although we are taking steps to re-open some of the hardest-hit sectors of our economy, that in no way means we can drop our guard now,” said Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors Chair Hilda Solis, according to NBC Los Angeles.

Operators and employees in restaurants are required to wear N95 masks or double masks and face shields. While restaurants will only be able to accommodate 25% of their maximum customer capacity, the restaurant has to be ventilated.
