Netflix’s docuseries Flavorful Origins takes the audience on a journey to observe how different authentic Chinese food is in different regions of China.

Premiered in early 2019, first season of the series takes place in Chaoshan region in South East China while the second season, which aired in November moves to the South West, to Yunnan. Flavorful Origins’ third season that came out last month travels north to Gansu and contains valuable information about the region’s cuisine.
