In collaboration with Cambridge University and Beko, a “robot chef” programmed to taste food has been produced. The robot that tastes food at different stages of the chewing process by imitating humans has been trained to assess the saltiness of a dish.

The robot, which is aimed to take part in the preparation process of the dishes, either full-time or part-time, produced “taste maps” of the dishes by tasting nine types of omelet.

This robot, which was developed according to the results of the research published in the journal Frontiers in Robotics & AI, gave a faster and more effective result than electronic tasting technologies to date.
