Born in Aleppo, Syria, the eldest of three brothers, Mohamad Ørfali’s interest in cooking began at an early age. As this interest turned into a passion, Ørfali joined the Aleppo Hotel Management Institute in 1997. Despite his admiration for French cuisine, Mohamad discovered an irrepressible interest in Aleppo cuisine and continued his education at Le Nôtre Cooking School in Paris in 2009.

Together with his brothers (Wassim and Omar), Orfali opened Orfali Bros Bistro in Dubai, UAE. Within two years, the restaurant was named ‘Best Restaurant’ in The World’s 50 Best Restaurants MENA 2023. Orfali Bros Bistro continues to hold this title in the 2024 list. The place also has the Bib Gourmand award in the Michelin List.
