Istanbul-born Fatih Tutak is an internationally renowned Turkish chef. The 35-year-old celebrity chef is the owner of Turk Fatih Tutak restaurant in Istanbul.
Tutak received his first professional training at Bolu Mengen Culinary School. After discovering innovative culinary culture with his apprentice Paul Pairet and working in the city’s best kitchens, Chef Fatih Tutak has gained experience in a variety of global cuisines in Beijing, Tokyo, Singapore, Copenhagen, Hong Kong and Bangkok.
In Copenhagen, he worked with Rene Redzepi at Noma, voted the best restaurant in the world many times by San Pellegrino-Acqua Panna The World 50 Best Restaurants; in Tokyo, he worked with Chef Seiji Yamamoto at 3 Michelin-starred Nihonryori Ryugin, the most famous representative of modern Japanese cuisine, and in the kitchen of the iconic Marina Bay Sands in Singapore.
The Dining Room at The House of Sathorn, where he was the culinary director, made both the San Pellegrino-Acqua Panna The Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants 2017-2018 list and the Michelin Guide 2018-2019 list. He returned to Turkey in 2019 and opened his first restaurant Turk Fatih Tutak in Istanbul in December 2019. The restaurant’s music was specially created by Kaan Düzarat. It was included in CNN Travel’s list of the world’s 20 best new restaurants of 2020.
