Matthias Ingelmann, Group Bar Manager of KOL Mezcaleria and KOL Restaurant, was born and raised in Germany, where he studied Political Science. Throughout his studies he had many roles in hospitality and managed two bars while he was a student. In 2017, he moved to London and gained further experience at Untitled. In 2020, he temporarily moved to Paris to manage Les Grands Verres, an iconic bar at the Palais de Tokyo with a focus on waste minimization and local spirits and ingredients. Matthias joined the KOL team in October 2020. KOL was awarded the Cocktail List of the Year Award at the National Restaurant Awards in 2022.
