Born in Canada in 1985, Jessica Rosval began her culinary career in 2001. A few years later, she moved to Italy and was so impressed by her experience as a customer at Osteria Francescana that she wrote a letter to chef Massimo Bottura the very next day, stating she was ready to work in the kitchen in any capacity.
This decisive step led to Rosval joining Bottura's team. She first worked as a chef de partie, then as the manager responsible for external events. Since 2019, she has been working as the head chef at Casa Maria Luigia, Massimo Bottura and Lara Gilmore's art and hospitality project in Modena.
Rosval, who sees social benefit as an integral part of his profession, manages the Association for the Integration of Women, a project supporting the integration of immigrant women in Modena.
