Giorgio Bargiani, Assistant Director of Mixology at the legendary Connaught Bar in London, which has been awarded numerous times by authorities, was born in Pisa in 1989. Named International Bartender of the Year by Tales of the Cocktail Spirited Awards in 2023, Bargiani is one of the most influential figures in the contemporary cocktail world.

Growing up in Pisa surrounded by his family’s restaurants and gourmet boutiques, Bargiani began his career working in local cocktail bars. Joining the Connaught Bar as a bar-back in 2014, he rose to a top position in the mixology world in less than a decade under the mentorship of experienced mixologist Agostino Perrone.

In 2020 and 2021, Connaught Bar was named the world’s best bar in the World’s 50 Best Bars list (ranked 13th in 2024) and is particularly famous for its table-side Martini ritual. Bargiani refined this ritual, creating personalized flavors with special essences like bergamot, myrtle, and cardamom. He is described by the press as “the architect of personalized flavors.
