Diego Guerrero, born in Vitoria in 1975, is one of the most innovative and renowned chefs on the Spanish gastronomic scene. After finishing his gastronomic studies and working with some of the greatest chefs, he led El Club Allard restaurant in Madrid, where he earned two MICHELIN Stars. In 2014, decided to open his own restaurant, DSTAgE, also in Madrid, a personal project that redefines haute cuisine through proximity, naturalness and sustainability. Since its opening, DSTAgE has received important distinctions: 2 MICHELIN Stars (the first within four months of opening), the Green MICHELIN Star, 3 Soles Repsol, and numerous national awards such as those granted by Metrópoli, Gourmet Magazine and Tripadvisor.
Diego has also received several personal awards such as the 2016 Gentleman Award, the 2017 ELLE Gourmet Awards, GQ Man of the Year, and the 2019 Culture Award from the Community of Madrid. Internationally, he has been listed among the Top 100 in The Best Chef Awards since 2021, consolidating his position as one of the best chefs in the world, and currently holds 3 Knives, the highest distinction awarded by this publication. In November 2024, he was named International Ambassador for Gastronomic Tourism by the UN. Diego’s cuisine is committed and creative, far removed from clichés, focused on respect for the product and with a marked aesthetic and conceptual identity. Under the umbrella of DSTAgE, he has created spaces such as DSPOT, dedicated to creativity and culinary experimentation, and DHOUSE, the chef’s home, his most intimate project.
He has also published a book, “Irreducible”, a creative and personal journey in which Diego shares the evolution that led him to break the mould and build a unique and divergent concept of cuisine. With a consistent philosophy based on sustainability, Guerrero continues to blaze his own trail in contemporary haute cuisine.
