Michel Roux, the legendary French chef and icon of British gastronomy, has died at the age of 79.

It was announced ‪on Wednesday night‬ that the successful chef, who succumbed to long-battling lung disease, had passed away from idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.Roux, the world-famous chef, had his name written in gold letters on the history of gastronomy by receiving the first three Michelin stars at his restaurant Le Gavroche in London in 1982.
